Attorney Arthur Rubenstein is a graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, where he attained a degree in business management in 1983. At Adelphi he captained the baseball team and in 1981 was ranked 8th nationally in batting average in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. After college he was invited to major league baseball camps for tryouts.
Mr. Rubenstein attended the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, in Huntington, New York. He graduated third in his law school class and was named to the Dean’s List for three of his six semesters in law school. He was heavily recruited by law firms when in law school and throughout his legal career.
A member of the New York State Bar since 1989 and admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Mr. Rubenstein focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters. He has been a partner at Alpert, Slobin and Rubenstein since December, 2010. Before Alpert, Slobin and Rubenstein was established, he was a partner in Alpert & K Kaufman.
He has built his successful practice through a strong commitment to client relations. He has a longstanding reputation for aggressive advocacy, which has allowed him to settle thousands of personal injury cases in his legal career. He has worked extensively as a civil litigator, handling a wide range of matters, Including:

He served as counsel for the New York PBA police in personal injury matters for a number of years. He has also represented professional athletes, including former New York Mets pitcher Dwight “Doc” Gooden.
Unlike many personal injury lawyers, Mr. Rubenstein has represented plaintiffs as well as defendants in personal injury litigation, and understands how insurance companies and corporate defendants prepare personal injury cases. He has considerable experience in all stages of a personal injury lawsuit, from inception to trial. He has personally handled thousands of personal injury cases, with many obtaining multi-million dollar awards.
